Safety tips for buyers & sellers
Most deals go smoothly. These habits keep it that way.
Before you meet
- Check the seller's badges, reviews, trust score and how long they've been a member.
- Keep the conversation in BSC Pakistan chat until you've met — it helps us protect you.
- Be careful if the price is far below similar ads. We show a warning when that happens.
When you meet
- Meet in a busy public place in daylight — a mall, a bank branch, or a busy market. Bring a friend for expensive items.
- Inspect the item properly. For phones, check the IMEI and PTA status; for vehicles, check registration documents and get a mechanic's opinion.
- Verify the seller owns the item (box, bill, warranty card, registration).
Payments
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or banking password — not with a buyer, a seller, or anyone claiming to be from BSC Pakistan.
- Never trust payment screenshots. Confirm the money has actually arrived in your account.
- Avoid advance payments, “token money” or “courier fees” to people you haven't met.
- Be wary of overseas buyers, cheque overpayments and links to unknown payment sites.
If something feels wrong
Stop, don't send money, and use the Report button on the ad, profile or chat. You can also block the user. Our team reviews every report.
