Community Guidelines
BSC Pakistan works because buyers can trust sellers and sellers can trust buyers. These guidelines explain what that looks like day to day. They are part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Our promise to each other
Be truthful
- Describe items exactly as they are, including faults.
Be respectful
- Polite, professional messages — even when saying no.
Be reliable
- Reply on time, keep appointments, mark items sold.
Be safe
- Meet in public, inspect first, never share OTPs.
2. Honest ads
- One item or service per ad, posted once, in the right category and the city where the item actually is.
- A clear title with brand, model and the key detail — no ALL CAPS, emoji strings, keyword stuffing or unrelated brand names (“like iPhone”, “Samsung style”).
- Accurate details: condition, specifications, PTA status for phones, registration city and accident history for vehicles, and any defects or repairs.
- Only items you have now. No “coming soon”, “available on order” bait ads, and no “wanted” ads outside the categories that allow them.
- No contact details or links in the ad text or photos. Buyers reach you through chat, WhatsApp or the Call button — this protects your number and lets us block scammers.
- Sold? Mark it as sold so buyers don't waste time — and so your successful transactions count.
3. Photos
- Use real photos of the actual item, taken by you. At least 3 good photos from different angles is best.
- No stock images, photos copied from other ads or websites, watermarks of other platforms, or photos with phone numbers on them.
- No people as the main subject, and nothing obscene, violent or disturbing.
- We automatically detect photos reused across different accounts — a common scam sign — and may hold those ads for review.
4. Prices
- Show the real price you expect. “Rs 1”, fake low prices to attract clicks, or prices that change after contact are not allowed.
- If the price is negotiable, tick “Negotiable” rather than inflating the price.
- Ads priced far below similar items are flagged and may be reviewed before going live — and buyers see a caution message.
- No requests for advance payment, “token money”, booking fees or courier charges before the buyer has seen the item.
5. One account, one person
- One personal account per verified mobile number. Businesses use a business account and their real trading name.
- Don't create extra accounts to post more ads, avoid limits, review yourself, or come back after a ban.
- Don't impersonate anyone — another seller, a brand, a government department, or BSC Pakistan staff.
6. Respectful communication
- No harassment, threats, insults, hate speech, or discrimination based on religion, sect, ethnicity, caste, gender, disability or any other characteristic.
- No sexual messages, unwanted advances, or pressure to meet privately.
- No spam — repeated messages, unrelated promotions or mass messaging to sellers.
- Low offers are fine; abuse is not. If you're not interested, a short “No, thank you” is enough.
- Respect privacy: don't share someone's number, CNIC, address or chat screenshots publicly to shame or threaten them.
7. Safe deals
- Keep the conversation on BSC Pakistan until you have met. It helps us protect you if something goes wrong.
- Meet in a busy public place in daylight; bring someone along for high-value items.
- Inspect the item. Check IMEI and PTA status for phones, and registration documents, chassis/engine numbers and E-Taxation/Excise records for vehicles.
- Confirm money has actually arrived in your account. Payment screenshots and SMS “alerts” can be faked.
- Never share OTPs, PINs or passwords — not even with someone claiming to be from BSC Pakistan, a bank, JazzCash or Easypaisa.

8. Reviews
- Only review a seller you actually bought from, and describe your real experience.
- No reviews in exchange for discounts or gifts, no threats of bad reviews to get a lower price, and no fake reviews from friends or extra accounts.
- Sellers can't remove honest negative reviews; our moderators remove only reviews that break these rules.
9. Businesses & dealers
- Honour the prices, warranty and return terms you advertise, and give receipts where the law requires.
- Only claim “official”, “authorised” or “brand warranty” if you can prove it. The Official Dealer badge is granted by our team, not purchased.
- Don't flood categories with near-identical ads; use your store page to show your full range.
10. Reporting & blocking
See something wrong? Use Report on the ad, profile or chat. Reports are confidential — the other person is not told who reported them. You can also Block a user to stop all messages and offers from them. False or malicious reports are themselves a violation.
11. How we enforce
We look at the seriousness of the issue, whether it was intentional, and the account's history. Most issues are fixed with a quick edit; fraud is not.
| Situation | Typical action |
|---|---|
| Wrong category, missing details, poor photos | Ad sent back for changes |
| Duplicate ads, contact details in ad, misleading price | Ad rejected; repeated cases lead to a warning |
| Prohibited item, harassment, spam, fake reviews | Ad removed and account warning or restriction (posting/chat limited) |
| Repeated violations or multiple accounts to evade limits | Temporary suspension |
| Fraud, scams, forged documents, illegal goods, threats | Permanent ban, linked accounts closed, and information preserved for law enforcement |
Upheld reports and policy violations lower a seller's trust score. Every enforcement action is logged with a reason.
12. Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, reply to the notification or email grievance@bsc.com.pk with your username and the ad or decision. A different team member will review it, usually within 3 working days.
